A PERSPECTIVE SHAPED BY MODELING
Daisuke A (Daisuke Adachi) began his modeling career in 1998 and has worked as a fashion model in Japan and internationally, including Milan.
His experience in the fashion industry shaped his belief that fashion is not only about the beauty of clothing, but also about how clothing enhances the individuality and presence of the person wearing it.
He values the relationship between garments, body movement, silhouettes and personal expression, with particular emphasis on elegance and refined sensuality.
Alongside his work in fashion, he is also involved in model education and photography direction, bringing together the perspectives of both the wearer and the creator.
JAPANESE CULTURE & CONTEMPORARY FASHION
Through his international modeling experience, Daisuke A developed a deeper appreciation for the distinctive qualities of Japanese culture, including traditional clothing, craftsmanship and manga.
Rather than simply reproducing the appearance of kimono, ninja or samurai clothing, he seeks to reinterpret elements of Japanese culture through contemporary fashion.
He is also inspired by dance and the expressive possibilities of movement.
Drawing on his own experiences with clothing sizes and fit, he values relaxed silhouettes that offer freedom of movement while complementing different body types and individual styles.
CLOTHING DESIGNED TO LAST
Influenced by the high fashion and luxury brands of the 2000s, Daisuke A believes that the value of clothing extends beyond seasonal trends.
He continues to wear garments purchased many years ago and appreciates quality materials, distinctive design, comfort and longevity.
At ROKUBUEN, he seeks to balance experimental collection pieces with wearable clothing for everyday life, combining Japanese aesthetics with contemporary design.
CREATIVE DIRECTION AT ROKUBUEN
As Director of ROKUBUEN, Daisuke A oversees the brand's creative direction, product development, collection production, photography and fashion presentations.
He values collaboration with designers and craftspeople, respecting their expertise while developing a visual identity that reflects both the beauty of clothing and the individuality of those who wear it.
Drawing on his experience as a model and educator, he also writes The Model Textbook, an educational series exploring professional modeling, the fashion industry and the practical judgment required in creative work.
